Buckfield man killed in dump truck rollover crash in Peru
A man was killed after the dump truck he was driving overturned in Peru Thursday morning, the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened at about 7:36 a.m. in the area of Greenwoods Road and Auburn Road.

Responding officers found the dump truck on its side when they arrived at the scene.
Police said the driver, 40-year-old Michael Averill of Buckfield, was not wearing his seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Averill was hauling gravel for Everett Excavation out of West Paris at the time of the crash.
