Merrill man charged in fatal buggy crash
HOULTON — A Merrill man is being charged with manslaughter in connection with an accident that killed one person and injured another.
According to an Aroostook County court clerk in Houlton, Colby Clark was arrested Monday.
He was also charged with operating under the influence and aggravated driving to endanger.
Police said the car Clark was driving hit a horse-drawn wagon on June 3 in the town of New Limerick.
25-year old Titus Kauffman, 25, of Smyrna was driving the wagon and died at the scene. Caleb Kauffman, 18, of Smyrna was seriously injured.
The court clerk said Clark’s bail has been set at $2,000 cash.
