Friday, January 20th

 

Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock and Roll

Collins Center for the Arts, Orono

8 pm 

A cast that consists of both stars from Broadway’s greatest rock musicals, as well as incredible rock and roll singers… with Neil Berg sharing the often unknown stories from the fifty-year history of the genre. Tickets starting at $21. 

“Waiting for Godot” Play

Bangor Arts Exchange

7 pm 

Poetic and humorous play about two men killing time with hat tricks and stories. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. 

10th Annual Snowball Run

10 Northern Cruise Trail, Millinocket 

7 am – 3 pm 

Fundraising for Katahdin Area Cancer Care, all are welcome for this community snowmobile run. At 7 am breakfast will be served at the club house and museum, with registration starting at 8 am. The ride leaves at 9 am. There will be separate rides for antique and vintage sleds, and all sleds.

Winter Estuary Ecology Walk

Maine Maritime Museum 

10:30 am – noon 

Explore the most active sections of Maine Maritime Museum’s 20+ acre riverfront, to identify, follow and understand what animal tracks can reveal about ecosystems. Free to the public! All ages welcome. Dress appropriately. 

Harley Reveal party 

L-A Harley, Lewiston 

Noon – 3 pm 

Check out the latest in 2023 Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Live music and food. 

Buried Under Ice: The Maine Ice Age Trail 

Knights of Columbus, 2 Park St, Calais

1 pm 

Explore Maine’s glacial past! Dr. Brenda Hall, Professor of Glacial and Quaternary Geology at UMaine will lead the presentation. 

CBARF!: Cardboard Boxes Are Really Fun

Waldo County YMCA, Belfast

2 pm – 4 pm 

Belfast’s biggest building bonanza where folks of all ages come together to build something great out of cardboard boxes! Castles, caves, spaceships… the options are endless. Free and open to all ages! Just remember to bring a roll of packing tape. 

Fogtown is turning 5!

Fogtown Brewing Company, Ellsworth

4 pm 

Come help Fogtown Brewing celebrate their 5th birthday at the original location! Drink specials, wood fired pizza, live music at 7 pm. Fire pits and heated A-frames in the beer garden. 

Winterport Open Stage Flip the Switch Fundraiser

Wagner Middle School, Winterport

7 pm – 8:30 

Light refreshments, silent auction, and great music with no admission. Donations are appreciated to celebrate the return of the Winterport Open Stage after four years.

A concert experience featuring all the songs you sing in your car. Legendary favorites such as Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Kansas, Pat Benatar, Boston, Toto and many more!

Winter Carnival

Indoor and outdoor games for families with kids up to age five! Winter themed food. 

My Day to Play 

Maine Discovery Museum, Bangor 

1 pm – 4 pm 

“My Day to Play” is a grant funded program intended to provide children with disabilities, on the autism spectrum, and who have sensory needs, a safe and comfortable environment to explore. Activities like motor sensory play, animal time, science and art activities – in addition to free play on all three floors of the museum.
