Bangor accepting Christmas trees for recycle

BANGOR– Christmas trees can be dropped off for recycling at Bangor Public Works 7 days a week from 7 am until sunset.

If you don’t have a vehicle you can put them out for curbside pickup starting January 3rd.

Director of Bangor Public Works, Aaron Houtari says “We accept those just as long as they are clean and they don’t have metal stuck to them.”

He says now that Bangor is using the bin system for trash, it can be difficult to get all the holiday items in the bins.

You can also drop those off .

“You can bring in paper, packing material, plastic, boxes, that type of thing.”

The holiday trash will be accepted as of January 3rd.

Bangor public works is located at 530 Main Avenue.

There will be signs directing you where to go.
