City of Bangor installing hand sanitizer at parks and outdoor spaces

BANGOR — Using money from the Keeping Maine Healthy grants, Bangor is installing hand sanitizers in public spaces.

So far, about five of the sanitation stations are up.

They’ll be up by city playgrounds and at popular trailheads.

By the time they’re finished putting up the sanitation stations, there will be about 20 around the city.

“Please don’t come to any of our parks, our play structures, if you display any symptoms. Hand wash, hand sanitize often,” said Tracy Willette, director of Bangor Parks & Recreation.

Willette said the stations will be maintained throughout the fall.
