Downtown parking ban in Bangor tonight, seasonal parking ban in effect

BANGOR–  There will be a downtown parking ban in effect starting at 11:00 pm Friday, December 16, 2022, through 6:00 am Saturday, December 17, 2022, to allow for road treatment and removal operations.

During a parking ban, vehicles may not be parked on city streets in the Downtown Parking Management District between the hours of 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. Vehicles left on the street during a parking ban may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

This parking ban will also mark the beginning of the seasonal parking ban on city streets outside of the Downtown Parking Management District between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 am through March 31, 2023. Vehicles left on the street during overnight hours may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

The Odd/Even Parking Rule for daytime parking will also be in effect between the hours of 6:00 am and 12:00 midnight, through 3/31/2023. If a street outside the Downtown Parking Management District is not already regulated by parking signage, parking will be allowed on the even side of the street on even calendar days and on the odd side of the street on odd calendar days. It’s easy to remember because the even side of the street has even house numbers and the odd side of the street has odd house numbers. Vehicles parked on the wrong side of the street or contrary to parking signage may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
