Homeschool group creates warmth kits for homeless

FARMINGTON – True North Learning Collaborative is a homeschool group that spent the month of October to learn about the “helpers” in the local community. Students were encouraged to think of others and put together mini warmth kits that will be distributed to homeless people in the upcoming winter months. The warmth kits that were created go to Maine Needs operated out of Portland, Maine. The warmth kits that were created include: hand warmers, coffee gift cards, tissues, chap stick, and lotion.
