Lacher’s mother talks ending the year searching for her son

AUGUSTAA mother that has been searching for her missing son is reminding people how to properly report any potential sightings of him, as she refuses to give up hope going into the new year.

“He could be anywhere in the state of Maine and frankly beyond,” said Tammy Lacher Scully, mother of Graham Lacher.

37-year-old Graham Lacher of Norridgewock was reported missing on June 6 following Lacher’s disappearance from the Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center located in Bangor.

“The amazing support that we’ve got from individual people hoping [and] praying that we find him,” said Scully.

Friday Lacher’s parents went to the Augusta Police Department to follow up on a cluster of three sightings of a male that matched Lacher’s description.

Lacher’s mother said following up on all reports is essential.

“We do everything we can. We do a lot of messaging on Facebook. We often get to sit that way,” according to Scully.

Scully wants the public to know that her 37-year-old son was initially 190 pounds when he disappeared.

The Lacher family believes he is likely to have lost weight and notes he no longer has his orange hat.

Scully continues to ask for public support in the search for her son.

“What we need is for people to stay focused on it [and] to look for him. [To] look at someone that is homeless with the idea that it could be graham to not turn away.. I think homelessness is upsetting for people but this is likely where Graham most likely is,” said Scully.

Those who spot anyone matching Lacher’s description should contact their local police department.

When contacting law enforcement folks should specify that they’re calling about the Silver Alert for Graham Lacher.

Lacher’s family also asks that individuals attempt to get video of that person after calling police.
