Lee knocks out power for thousands of Mainers
Thousands of Maine households lost power Saturday morning as wind speeds from post-tropical cyclone Lee as wind gusts topped 40 mph on parts of the coast.
The National Hurricane Center downgraded Lee to a post-tropical cyclone, but a tropical storm warning remains in effect for all of Maine’s coast and a large swath of the interior. The strongest winds will be in the midcast and Down East, where gusts will likely exceed 60 mph at times.
