Residents complain to Searsport selectmen regarding property dispute
SEARSPORT-, Selectmen for the town of Searsport met to discuss the property dispute going on between some of the neighbors of the Mcgrath subdivision.
Last week we spoke with different residents who were upset with how a landowner in an adjoining property is using his land for church services and a youth camp.
In Tuesday’s selectmen’s meeting, various residents complained about how the use of the land will cause disturbances and is illegal.
“Of course church services that are being held in the r2 zone where institutional activities are not permitted, our code enforcement officer is dealing with that,” Searsport Town Manager James Gillway said.
The town manager did not specify what actions the code enforcement officer is taking to resolve the issue.
