Bangor schools in need of substitute teachers and custodians
BANGOR — If you’re looking for a job and love kids, the Bangor School Department might have a place for you.
Right now, they’re hiring substitute teachers and extra custodians to help clean off high touch surfaces.
School superintendent, Dr. Betsy Webb said the extra staffing will help them stay safe.
Webb is encouraging teachers to err on the side of caution.
“Knowing that people may be out because we’re saying if you have any symptom, don’t come to work,” Webb said. “I mean even if you have an allergy, you may not know right away. That’s why we’re really trying to make sure we have a full substitute list.”
Even without a pandemic, schools are usually low on substitute teachers.
To learn more about the positions and apply, you can go to their website.
