Castine looking for new vendor for snack shack
CASTINE– For anyone that has traveled to Castine in the summer, a stop at the snack shack on the town dock is a welcome ritual.
Now, the town of Castine is looking for someone to take over the Captains Catch.
Town officials are looking for a new vendor to take over operations of that beloved lunch spot. The town has put this out to bid for the 2023 season. Officials say the lunch spot is not a revenue generator for the town. It would cost the vendor 4,000 dollars a season to use the space on the dock.
“We are simply looking for a quality vendor that can move into that facility and provide excellent service to both the residents of Castine and all guest and visitors that come visit our town,” said Shawn Blodgett, Town Manager of Castine.
The request for proposals will be taken between now and February 14th.
