First phase of Octagon House sunporch project completed

FARMINGTON – The first phase of improvements to the 1915 sunporch attached to the Farmington Historical Society’s Hiram Ramsdell House, also known as the Octagon House, is complete. This first phase is the most important of the project as the structure of the sunporch has been stabilized and secured. The sagging front corner of the octagonal-shaped porch was raised nearly six inches to make it level, and the large original glass windows have been refitted in their frames.
