Gouldsboro opens warming center
GOULDSBORO — Due to the widespread power outages caused by Winter Storm Elliott, the town of Gouldsboro has opened its warming center.
According to Gouldsboro Emergency Management Director Jackie Johnston, the town opened the center at 10 a.m. this morning.
The warming center is set to be opened until further notice.
Johnston says her goal is to make sure everyone who needs help is taken care of.
“Bad weather that has caused prolonged outages. Important for not only elderly citizens but any people who are in this community, the extended community. To have a place to come to, to be warm, to have a warm beverage,” said Johnston.
The warming center is located on 679 pond road.
