GrantLee’s Tavern and Grill closes permanently

FARMINGTON – GrantLee’s Tavern and Grill on Fairbanks Road has closed permanently, due to staffing shortages and other issues, owner Bernard ‘Bubba’ Bates said. He made the announcement on the grill’s Facebook page yesterday. Bates picked up the restaurant business in 2012 as a hobby beside his thirty years in the workforce. After running the restaurant for eleven years, he said, “It’s about long enough for me.” Bates closed the business temporarily in late 2021 for renovations and remodeling, reopening in January 2022, but he says the last few years have been challenging between COVID-19, minimum wage increases, and increases
