Jay board approves various projects

JAY – At the Jay Select Board meeting on October 23, police Chief Richard Caton was awarded Risk Reduction Enhancement Grant Program that will be used to purchase traffic cones. The grant will cover 100% of the cost, but not exceeding $2,988.70, which can be used to purchase an estimated 130 cones. The board voted to approve the acceptance of the grant. Sewer Superintendent Mark Holt proposed to the board the sale of a variety of T-4 and T-6 pumps as well as ductile iron pipes that are no longer needed after converting the treatment plant to a pump station.
