Students return to in-person learning at the Abraham Lincoln School

BANGOR- Tuesday was the first day of school for many. While it’s a stressful time, some are excited to be back.

On Tuesday second and third graders returned to in-person learning at the Abraham Lincoln School

“I’m excited about going to school, meeting my new teacher,” third grader, Jose told us.

Another third grader Aidan said his favorite subject is reading. “I love it,” Aidan said. “I look at the books and I read them.”

“I do like doing crafts,” said soon to be kindergartner Zoe.

Her brother, Alex, said specifically he likes “making the Mona Lisa painting”

After an abrupt end to in-person learning last year, some parents are excited to see their kids back in the classroom.

“Last year when they were doing home learning it was hard because he never really had homework before that, then all of the sudden all of his work was homework,” Danny, a parent of a student at the school said.

Other parents we spoke with agree, saying they were thankful for some type of normalcy.

By Thursday, students in all grades will be back in the building

“I just wish I have a great day and that all of the other students have a great day,” Jose continued.

With that, have a safe and fun school year.
