Wilton board accepts moratorium on new cannabis operations

WILTON – The Wilton select board met on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. Town Manager Perry Ellsworth gave the board an update on the ongoing cannabis moratorium issue. He had presented this to the board in the past, suggesting a moratorium on all new cannabis operations as an opportunity to review the current ordinance and make any necessary adjustments. The proposed moratorium will last six months. Ellsworth was clear that it will not affect any ongoing businesses; any new ventures will be put on hold until the moratorium is over.
