Dog reunited with owner after 46 days
OXFORD (WGME) — A dog that was missing for 46 days is back home with her family.
Lori Reece said her dog went missing on July 7. She said the dog had escaped from her house.
Reece put flyers up everywhere hoping to get the word out. Then someone up the street called saying they may have found the dog.
Reece confirmed it was her pet, who had fallen through a hole in the porch.
Her son climbed in and carried the dog out. Now Reece wants to thank everyone who helped with the search.
“So many people were out there looking for her, praying for her, and it was a miracle. It really is. For that length of time to be in this shape, she was very dehydrated. They said probably another day, she wouldn’t have been around. So it was that close when they found her,” Reece said.
Reece said the dog is on medication right now and has some follow up appointments scheduled.
But, given the length of time, she was gone, she is doing just “wonderful.”
